The intelligent smoke detector is composed of light source, photoelectric element and electronic switch, which USES the principle of light scattering to detect the smoke generated in the early stage of fire and send alarm signal in time. The principle of its operation is to use a light emitting element and a photosensitive element, normally from the light emitting element, through the lens to the light sensitive element, the circuit to maintain normal. If smoke is obstructed, the light reaching the photosensitive element will be significantly weakened, so the photosensitive element will convert the change in light intensity to the change in current, and send an alarm signal by amplifying the circuit.
Sometimes, it will inevitably be affected by the external environment and its own defects, which will cause false alarm and omission of the detector. Therefore, in order to avoid and reduce the false alarm and omission of the smoke detector as much as possible, corresponding measures should be taken to avoid the interaction between external interference factors and the detector´s own defects. Here´s how:
1. Smoke detector shall be installed in every room and should be installed near the entrance; The protection radius of each smoke detector shall not be greater than 6m;
2. The horizontal distance from the detector to the wall and beam should not be less than 0.5m;
3. The horizontal distance between the detector and the air supply outlet should not be less than 1.5m, and should be close to the air return outlet for installation. The horizontal distance between the detector and the aperture of the porous seal ceiling should not be less than 0.5m.
4. The room shall be separated by bookshelves, equipment or partitions, and the distance from the top to the ceiling or beam shall be less than 5% of the net height of the room. At least one detector shall be installed in each separated part.
5. Within 0.5m around the smoke detector, there should be no shielding, that is, lamps and spraying, etc.
6. The distance of the spray from the wall shall be less than 1.8 meters, and the spacing between the two sprays shall be greater than 2.4 and less than 3.6 meters. The distance between the spray and the lamp and the tuyere should be more than 0.3 meters.
7. Unless indicated, it is a principle to stick beam installation on spray pipe. In case of contradiction, the elevation of pipe and nozzle position can be adjusted appropriately according to the actual situation. The spacing between sprinkler head and wall (column) is < =3.6m, the spacing between sprinkler head and wall (column) is < =1.8m and > 0.6m.
